At the end of a 24-hour visit, the Egyptian President left the Djiboutian capital on Wednesday afternoon, sealing with his counterpart a new impetus for strategic cooperation between Cairo and Djibouti.
A highlight of this official visit, a joint press briefing allowed the two heads of state to unequivocally express their desire to “implement the concrete axes of a constructive partnership”, particularly in terms of trade, investment and economic development.
This convergence of interests was reinforced by the presence in Djibouti of an imposing Egyptian delegation, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Expatriate Affairs, Dr Badr Abdel-Ati, as well as the director of cabinet of the Egyptian presidency, Omar Marwan.
