The President of Djibouti appointed Mr. Abdoulkader Houssein Omar as the Minister of Foreign Affairs

Djibouti (Hornpost.com/.net) The President of the Republic, His Excellency Ismail Omar Guelleh, on Tuesday proceeded with the appointment of a new member of his Government.

To this end, by Presidential Decree No. 2025-082 dated April 1, 2025, he appointed Mr. Abdoulkader Houssein Omar to the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Spokesperson of the Government, replacing Mr. Mahamoud Ali Youssouf.

Career diplomat, the new Head of Diplomacy of Djibouti held the position of Ambassador of our country to the State of Kuwait until his current entry into the Government.

The appointment of Djibouti’s new Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation was made in an official statement made this Tuesday, late morning, at the Palace of the Republic, by the Secretary-General of the Government, Mr. Almis Mohamed Abdillahi.
