Mogadishu, (Hornpost) The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, today received the letters of credence from newly appointed ambassadors representing eight countries: Ethiopia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Mexico, Venezuela, South Korea, Mauritania, and Iraq.
During the official ceremony held at the Presidential Palace in Mogadishu, President Hassan Sheikh welcomed the new ambassadors and congratulated them on joining the diplomatic corps in Somalia. He emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing international cooperation.
The President urged the ambassadors to work closely with the Somali government and people to promote friendly relations and cooperation across various sectors, including development, trade, security, and cultural exchange. He expressed Somalia’s readiness to collaborate with each of their nations to achieve shared goals.
“Somalia values strong diplomatic partnerships and looks forward to deepening our mutual ties with your respective countries,” President Hassan Sheikh stated during the ceremony.

Suleiman Dedefo Woshe – Ambassador of Ethiopia
Robert Ifriyie – Ambassador of Ghana
Maes Ennio – Ambassador of Ivory Coast
Alejandro Eves Estivill Castro – Ambassador of Mexico
Moravia Peralt Hernandez – Ambassador of Venezuela
Kang Hyundshik – Ambassador of South Korea
Hussein Deh – Ambassador of Mauritania
Kahtan Taha Khalaf – Ambassador of Iraq
The accreditation of these ambassadors marks a continued commitment to expanding Somalia’s global engagement and diplomatic relations. The Somali government remains dedicated to fostering peaceful collaboration and mutual growth with nations across all continents.
