Hargeisa (Hornpost) he President of the Republic of Somaliland, H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi (Cirro), and the high-level delegation he led on a recent working visit to the State of Qatar, returned to the country this afternoon.

The visit was anchored in the broader strategy of the current administration — a vision of unity, action, and opening doors that have long remained closed to Somaliland. It reflected the government’s commitment to proactive diplomacy, international engagement, and economic transformation.

The working trip focused on strengthening diplomatic ties, enhancing cooperation on regional security — particularly around the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden corridor — and expanding Somaliland’s economic partnerships. It also aimed to increase Somaliland’s visibility and influence within the international community.

During their stay in Qatar, President Cirro and his delegation held numerous high-level meetings that focused on areas of mutual cooperation. These engagements spanned across government, diplomatic, business, and development sectors.

The meetings addressed a wide range of issues, including state-level relations, economic investment, humanitarian cooperation, social development, interfaith dialogue, and the advancement of spiritual and charitable initiatives.

In conclusion, the visit was seen as a fruitful and milestone achievement for Somaliland — opening new avenues of collaboration, mutual interests, and trust between the two sides.
