Somaliland welcomed the law recognizing the sovereignty of Somaliland which was presented by Scott Perry to the US Congress

Hargeisa, (Hornpost) The government of the Republic of Somaliland has praised MP Scott Perry from the Congress of the United States of America who created a law and a bill aimed at recognizing the independence of the Republic of Somaliland.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Somaliland, Mr. Abdirahman Dahir Adan, praised MP Scott Perry for this law he created related to the recognition of Somaliland’s independence, describing it as a successful step forward.

The Foreign Minister noted that Rep. Scott Perry of the American Republican Party has done courage.

Minister Abdirahman Dahir Adan stated that the Government of Somaliland is grateful to this MP for the progress he has made in this special law that makes Somaliland recognized as an independent country.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation recently met with the United States MP Scott Perry and discussed the acceleration of support for the Somaliland issue.

This legal project will reshape and be based on the new foreign policy of the United States which will cooperate with Somaliland, which is a country of strategic importance, and at the same time peaceful and self-governing.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Somaliland welcomed and thanked MP Scott Perry, and praised the creation of this bill that will allow Somaliland to be recognized as an independent nation.

This was stated in a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Somaliland, which reads as follows: – “The Government of the Republic of Somaliland warmly welcomes the legal initiative to recognize Somaliland as an independent country “Republic of Somaliland Independence Act” Submitted by a member of the United States Congress, Mr. Scott Perry.

 

This historic initiative reinforces the history of Somaliland’s 30 years of peace, democratic governance, and stability, and this law recognizes the reality of Somaliland’s independence.

We are deeply grateful to Mr. Scott Perry and his fellow MPs Andy Ogles, Pat Harrigan and Tom Tiffany for their principled leadership and effective support.
