Nairobi (Hornpost) The president of the republic of Somaliland Dr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi (Irro) had an important meeting with the speaker of the parliament of Kenya (Speaker of the National Assembly), Mr. Moses Masika Wetangula.

The president of the Republic of Somaliland, his Excellency Dr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi (Irro), during his state visit to Kenya, had a fruitful meeting with the chairman of the parliament of Kenya, Mr. Moses Wetang’ula.

That meeting was accompanied by the president with senior members of his delegation, parliamentarians from both sides and the senior officials of the embassy of the Republic of Somaliland in Nairobi.

This meeting was built on respect and sharing vision. The most important points discussed were:

  1. Cooperation between the parliaments between the two countries: to find ways to strengthen legal relations between Somaliland and Kenya through talks, official visits, educational workshops, and organization cooperation.
  2. Boosting Democratic Process: Both sides emphasized the importance of sharing experiences about democratic ethics, developing electoral process, and maintaining parliamentary work.
  3. Regional stability and development: to strengthen the role that the legislative councils have in peace, security and sustainable development in the Horn of Africa.
  4. Support for democratic immigration in Somaliland: The president of Somaliland republic expressed his happiness about how Kenya understands and understands the development of Somaliland.

The chairman of the parliament of Kenya, Mr. Moses Wetang’ula, has warmly welcomed the president of the republic of Somaliland and his delegation.

He highly praised the stability, peace and democracy that had taken place in Somaliland. He also assured the president that the Kenyan People’s Parliament is ready to have full cooperation between the legal councils of Somaliland.

Also, Governor Wetang’ula clarified that his council is ready to implement all the steps and agreements between Somaliland and Kenya.
