Nairobi (Hornpost) The President of the Republic of Somaliland Mr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilahi (Irro) today officially opened the new Embassy of the Republic of Somaliland in Kenya.
The President of the Republic of Somaliland, Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilahi Irro, gave a speech at the new building of the Somaliland Embassy in Nairobi, Kenya and confirmed that he met with the President of Kenya, William Ruto, and thanked him for the meeting
“First of all, I would like to thank the President of Kenya, Dr. William Ruto, who received us today in a brotherly manner, welcomed us at State House in Kenya. We discussed the interests of the two countries. We have agreed, I am grateful to the Governors attending this event. In Nairobi, I am also grateful to the two houses in attendance”
The President of the Republic of Somaliland Mr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilahi (Irro) continuing his speech at event said “I am grateful for their clear support for the Somaliland cause; we have come to meet the existing relations and the neighboring countries that we are re-establishing. As it was said, we share a good relationship between Somaliland and Kenya, which was first visited by the people in 1860. The first people from Somaliland came here to Kenya and is going through the 6th generation, the first people from Somaliland came here it is not a relationship that started my journey that has been going on for 200 years, we want them to benefit from it, there are 30 thousand Kenyans in Somaliland who work in many fields.”
Somaliland’s ambassador to Kenya, Ambassador Mohamed Ahmed Barawani, said “Somaliland has added something to the world and it will die, the seat of the United Nations is the right to sit, Somaliland has been a government for more than 100 years”
Ambassador Barawani said that it is a great honor for Somaliland This event, which has not happened before in Kenya, was attended by the President of the Republic of Somaliland and he said that “Somaliland has contributed to the United Nations and the African Union
Many dignitaries including the mayor of the Kenyan government, MPs, ambassadors of the international community to Kenya
The members of the Somaliland Cabinet of Ministers who were part of the Somaliland delegation and the Somaliland community in Kenya, who are among the native communities of that country, were among the various leaders who participated in the opening ceremony of the new Somaliland embassy in Kenya.
