Djibouti, (Hornpost) –DJIBOUTI, – The Head of State, M. Ismail Omar Guelleh, this Wednesday, late in the morning, at the Palace of the Republic, held interviews with the President of Somaliland, M. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi, who, at the head of a high-level delegation, began a working visit to Somaliland earlier today, at the same day, at the Palais de la Republik, held a working visit to the President of the Republic, earlier today, at a working visit to 48 hours in Djibouti
This summit hearing serves as a framework to provide an update on the state of exchanges, solidarity and collaboration between Djibouti and Somaliland.
The interviews were then expanded to evoke topics of common interest for both parties, to the centuries-old links forged by cultural, linguistic and geographical proximity.
Somaliland’s high level of esteem for the Republic of Djibouti is in the image of the current choice of its new President, M Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi, on our country to make his 1st visit to the region.
During his interviews with the Head of State, Mr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi was accompanied by an important ministerial delegation from Somaliland, including the Minister of the Presidency, Mr. Kadar Houssein Abdi, the Minister of Information and Culture, Mr. Ahmed Yacin Sh Ali, the Minister of Investments and Mr. Saed Mohamed Bourakeh, Minister of Sports, Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Farah and Minister of Aviation, Mr. Fuad Ahmed Nuh.
It should also be noted that the presence of Mr Jama Mahamoud Eggal and Mr Abdulkadir Salah Eidleh, respectively Head of Security and Chief Cabinet of the Presidency in Somaliand.
Djibouti side, Minister of Economy and Finance Mr Ilyas Moussa Dawaleh, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Mr. Hassan Houmed Ibrahim, the Minister of Communication in charge of Posts and Telecommunications, Mr Radwan Abdillahi Bahdon, and the Secretary of State in charge of Sports, Mr Hassan Mohamed Kamil, took part in the talks between the Head of State and the President of Somaliand.
The Secretary General of the Government, Mr. Almis Mohamed Abdillahi, the Secretary General of the Presidency, Mr. Mohamed Abdullahi Wais, the Chief of National Security, Hassan Said Kaireh, the Ambassador Issa Kaireh and the Commissioner of Affairs of the Republic of Djibouti to Somaliland, Houssein Omar Kawaleih, also took part at this hearing.
Following these meetings at the summit with the Head of State, the Somaliland President was the head of the official lunch offered in his honor by President Ismail Omar Guelleh.
It should also be noted that the visit of the President of Somaliland to Djibouti will, among other things, be marked by a series of visits he will make to the flagship infrastructures of national development, including Djibouti Telecom’s underwater cable landing station and port infrastructure.
Arriving this Wednesday, in the middle of the morning, in Djibouti, the Somaliland President was welcomed, upon landing at Ambouli International Airport, by a high-level official committee chaired by the Djibouti Prime Minister, Mr. Abdulkader Kamil Mohamed.
