Mogadishu, (Horn Post) — The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hamsa Abdi Barre, had a welcoming meeting with the Minister of Interior of the Republic of Iraq, Mr. Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, who arrived in the country today on an official visit.
The meeting focused on strengthening fraternal relations between Somalia and Iraq, with special discussions on cooperation in the fields of security, counter-terrorism, military training and the exchange of experiences.
The Prime Minister warmly welcomed the Minister and his delegation, praising his visit to the country, and noted that this visit is a step to strengthen cooperation and cooperation between the two countries.
For his part, the Minister of Interior of Iraq, Mr. Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, expressed his government’s commitment to support Somalia, and promised to increase cooperation between the two countries, especially in the areas of security, immigration, education and training of security agencies.
