Hargeisa (Hornpost.com/.net) Taiwan’s International Agency for Cooperation and Development, in collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania in the United States, this week completed an artificial intelligence project to implement Somaliland’s health information system.

As announced by Taiwan’s international cooperation agency, the move is part of Somaliland’s Health Information Efficiency Development Project, which is a descendant of a cooperation agreement signed last December with the agency’s technical delegation. in the Horn of Africa, the University of Pennsylvania College of Business, and the Somaliland Ministry of Health Development.

The technical delegation of Taiwan’s international cooperation agency was responsible for the development of the system in the areas of the implementation of the artificial intelligence project, while the Ministry of Health of Somaliland was tasked with coordinating the testing of hospitals and the implementation of the system, according to Mario Lin who is the director that project.

The official also added that the University of Pennsylvania designed artificial intelligence regulations and provided financial support for the integration of artificial intelligence servers.

Mario Lin also noted that the new work of artificial intelligence is helping health workers to make electronic medical records, which greatly enhances the effectiveness of clinical examinations, especially in difficult situations that require detailed follow-up.

The International Cooperation Agency of Taiwan has confirmed that the success of the results of this project resulted from a technical cooperation agreement signed by the two countries of Somaliland and Taiwan in 2020.
